Hi, i m taking Escitalopram 20mg daily, and suffering yawning and excessive tiredness. I work mon-fri and find myself struggling each day to stay awake. On weekends, I sleep most of the day and night. Is there anything that can reduce or minimise this side effect?

hi
thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. tiredness is or lethargic is one of the most common side effect of ecitalopram or such kind of drugs. in most instances we need to decrease the dose even though it is minimal according to recommendation. sometime we need to switch over to other drug or change the timing of taking drugs. i would suggest you to visit your doctor and discuss this problem with him and a comprehensive solution will come out. i would suggest you to not to drive, stay away from any big machine, be careful on roads.
if you feel any doubt please ask us
regards
