How To Prevent Pregnancy Post Nur-Isterate Withdrawal?

Hi I have been on the injection nuristerate for about 9 years now. I want to gv it a break now but in scared that I might fall pregnant. Can one fall pregnant without going on periods first or the periods can be my sign of have chances to fall pregnant, please help

Hi,

As you are not on nuristerate injection any more so you are not protected. Irregular and delayed periods are the after effects of injection nuristerate and does not mean that you won't conceive after sexual exposure.

You can use a barrier method for the time being or restart the injection nuristerate or visit your clinician to start alternate means of conception.
