How To Lose Excessive Body Fat?

Hi I have gained about 25 lbs in the past year due to decreased exercise and a subsequent loss of mobility due to a knee surgery that went wrong in 2015. I would like to lose the weight for health reasons. A few years ago when i gained some weight ~ 15 lbs, my Dr. in Los Angeles prescribed phentermine 37.5 mg and it was very effective in helping me lose the weight. I live in Ft.Pierce, Fl. now and would like to be referred to as Dr that can prescribe this medication again. Can you please help me?

Hi,

First of all I would advise you for dietary modifications and calorie restriction instead of taking anti obesity medicine. Since such medicines can cause lot of side effects and rebound gain of weight in discontinuation of drugs. In my opinion you should avoid fatty fried and junk food, take lots of fresh fruits and boiled vegetables, dietary fiber supplement like ishabgol husk which will help by giving you satiety sensation and it increases the bulk of stool and facilitate bowel movement.

If it doesn't help then you can go for orlistat or phentermine group of drugs under medical supervision.

Hope this answers your question please feel free to ask for follow up question. I will be happy to help you.

Best wishes,
Dr. B R Hudda
