How To Help Someone With Bipolar Disorder?

My mother has Bipolar disorder and she told me she stopped taking her medicines because they make her feel like a zombie.She's had Bipolar for over 20 years now, we she just lost her 90 year old mother to Alzheimers and my mother is acting very very moody.She and I fight a lot and she calls me names,and hurts my feelings.I don't know how to help her through her loss,and how to deal with her mood swings.I need help.

Your mother is taking bipolar medicines for the last 20 years. Therefore leaving the medicines without the consent of the doctor is never good. The best thing you can do to your mother is to convince her to restart the medicines and get psychiatrist's advise.
