hello doctor i was using pentazocine in last 3 month it gives me strength more working power sharper brain memory my age is 21 years i wish to remove its my life because my family un happy for my this attitude and if i anger to any thing i want to distruct itthis is second cause kindly help me what can i do

Hi,

I do appreciate your willingness to stop using pentazocine. Pentazocine is an opioid and can lead to long term harms- physically, mentally and financially.

I suggest you seek a psychiatric consultation for the same. If needed, you can also be admitted for a few days. Medications like clonidine, analgesics and sedatives will be prescribed to take care of withdrawal symptoms of pentazocine. Long term treatment can then be planned in form of anti-craving drug, naltrexone.
