How To Get Rid Of Cramps On My Jawline?

I am having trouble getting cramps in my face...particuarly my jaw area. I am working with an orthodontist to cure my tmj so I am sure that has something to do with it, but every once in a while I get these incapicatating jaw cramps. A steroid pack helps a lot but I would like to do something to keep from getting them in the first place.
