How To Get Rid Of Acne And Scars?

Hello Doctor, I am a 22 year old female. I almost never had problems of pimples on my face. But recently (since 3 weeks) I am having some pimples on my face. Although these pimples are going away (almost), they re leaving pinkish marks on my face. Any suggestions how to get rid of these marks? Thank You.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Inflammatory acne are notorious to leave behind post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation/scars. Also there is often a component of erythema to the post acne hyperpigmentation/scars. Erythema usually resolves in due course of time

I usually manage my patients of post-acne hyperpigmentation with topical skin lightening agents like Azaleic acid gel 20% twice daily, Kojic acid 2% cream twice daily Or Hydroquinone solution or cream 2% twice daily.

You can undergo a few sessions of chemical peeling (Glycolic peel) from a dermatologist with or without microdermabrasion. Glycolic acid is an excellent skin lightening agent
