How To Drain Excess Fluid Retention In Legs?

My wife, age 75, has high level swelling in legs and particularly ankles and feet. She cannot wear compression stockings as her legs too large for available sizes. She takes water pill daily, but swelling remains or gets worse. Is there any way to have excess fluid drained off her body to help?

Hi

Except for diuretics like water pills and salt restriction there really is no other way to get excess fluid out of the body

Perhaps a very powerful diuretic like Lasix or Bumex would help her condition
