Hello,

You are having pain at the wrist when you try to turn it. You also have swelling at the right elbow joint on the inside. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an Orthopedics, get an X-ray done to detect any dislocation, hair crack or fracture. If fracture is there your treating doctor will fix it as required.

In case fracture is not detected, your treating doctor will tell you to do USG or MRI to study in detail any tear (partial or complete). Partial muscle, tendon or ligament tear can heal by itself by icing and rest. Keeping it in arm sling and at rest. Sometimes, it may need crepe bandage to be done. However, complete tear may require to get fixed by surgery.

Get all required investigations done so that the treatment can be started at the earliest. In the meantime, you can take NSAIDS, naproxen, one SOS after food to get relieve from pain ^ discomfort. Do not let your hand hang keep it in an arm sling to prevent hurt, swelling and pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
