How To Diagnose Kidney To Be Suspicious Of Having Cancer?

Doctor just notified me that a spot on my kidney looks to be cancerous. He recommended a partial nephrectomy without a biopsy because statistically it is probably cancerous. I m thinking I would rather have a biopsy to ensure that part of my kidney needs to be removed. Is this typical?

Hi, your concern is right.
It is better to do guided biopsy of that spot which will provide exact diagnosis. And if it comes malignant you will also get information about type of surgery either partial or total nephrectomy you will require.
