Hello. I have read your query. I am assuming you did the HPT the week after missing your period. The standard interpretation is- 2 lines-- positive pregnancy 1 line (its the control display)-- negative for pregnancy. Different brands of HPT have varying displays eg plus/minus sign, change in color of urine. Please read instructions carefully on your test kits. A negative test can occur if you r not pregnant or you have tested too early. But since you have already tested positive twice, its difficult to interpret this result. I suggest you repeat the test after a few (3-4) days. Whatever the result-you should consult with your gynecologist: for early pregnancy workup or workup for delayed irregular periods. Your doctor may repeat the urine test/do a blood test/pelvic ultrasound to start with. Hope this helps. All the best.
