How To Cure Prolonged Headache?

I have a pain in the right top part of my head (in very precise point, feels like being in the skull) that sometimes I can also feel when I touch it (but not always). It not very painfull but bothers me. I comes and goes, sometimes stays for 15 min and goes aways for few hours and then comes back. I have been to a doctor and she did basic checks (my balance, looked inside my eyes) and she said that it is very unlikely that this could be something serious, probably tension headache. However, I get worried as it is almost two weeks that I feel it. Should I worry? I should also add that in the past (last 2-3 years), as I recall, I felt the same pain in the same place but it lasted only few seconds and it was happening maybe every few weeks/months. I didn't pay much attention to it then.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for using HelathCareMagic.

Hello the characteristics you have described for your headache like at particular point and sometime on touch suggest either some superficial problem in scalp or may be something inside skull.

If your doctor have examined you and confirm that you need not to worry, that is good. But still you can go for CT scan brain to rule out any pathology. Please also evaluate your blood pressure and do eye check up also.

If it comes normal and still your problem continues, please consult a psychiatrist for detail evaluation. Then your headache likely due to psychological problem and treatment for the same can be done by a psychiatrist.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Soanki.
