How To Cure Constant Chest Pain Due To Intake Of Hot Food?

two days ago I was testing a piece of potatoe from my oven, it didn't feel hot. However, when I put in my mouth, I swallowed it and it was so hot that it felt like I had a piece of lava rock stuck. It burnt so bad that I couldn't breath at first. Since then, it hurts so bad that I am having a hard time eating. There is a constant pain in my chest, even cold drinks hurts. What can I do to help the pain?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your esophageal burn.

You need to take fluid or semi solid form of food for at least a week.

As you have burn your esophagus you need to take antibiotics too but after consulting your doctor because it has high chances of getting infection.

Take pantoprazole empty stomach early in morning with some water.

Avoid spicy, acid, hot, cold and junk foods for a week. As it will heal you won't feel it more than a week.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further questions to be answered.
