Psychiatrist 's  Response
Dear service user,
Thank you for writing to Healthcaremagic.
I understand your concern for erectile dysfunction (ED). I can read that you are frustrated and worried a lot about the future.
The problem can be cured. I will try my best to help you.
It is very common to have lack of erection or poor quality of erection occasionally. Situational reasons like fatigue tension or own ''pressure to 'perform' rather to enjoy'' is very common.
Once a person has poor erection, he becomes focused on the quality of performance during next sex. One focuses constantly on ''how do i perform''. This leads to anxiety and difficulty in erection in subsequent sexual activities. One’s anxiety goes on increasing with every ‘failure’.
For constant erection, continuous exciting/romantic/erotic feelings should be there in your mind. If your mind is diverted to concern about erection, you will lose erection. You must try to enjoy and only enjoy, without focusing on your 'performance' or quality of erection during masturbation or sexual intercourse.
Stress and anxiety also affects sexual performance. Relax and think positively. Your problem is temporary and you will surely come out of it.
Masturbation does not cause erectile dysfunction.
Your tests are normal. That is good.
You can consult your psychiatrist / sexologist for counseling.
Warm regards.

Thanks for your question.

ED is a common problem even in young people. This is not related to masturbation, STDs, or infection. It is simply an issue with blood flow. Medication such as Viagra and Cialis can be very helpful. So try one of these, and don't worry! This problem can be fixed with medication.
