How To Correct Sunk Lower Back With Stomach Protruding Out?

My father seems to walk, I should say waddle, like a pregnant woman sometimes. Stomach protruding out, lower back sunk in. He is 88 years old and has demencia. What could be the cause of this and how can it be corrected? It is happening more and more lately.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. He has lordosis due to weak spinal vertebrae.
2. Lumbar or vertebral support will help in correcting posture.
3. Due to his dementia, it would difficult to get active exercises done. Physiotherapy along with passive exercises should be helpful. Due to abnormal posture and vertebral positions, any fall can be dangerous. Caretaker is necessary around him at all times.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
