How To Confirm Internal Injury In Lower Side Of The Stomach?

I recently fell down the the stairs and hurt my back quite badly. I landed on my botten quite hard, and now is left with a nasty bruise on the lower left part of my back. It feels like it s getting a little better, however it is still quite uncomfortale when I bend, sleeping on left side, driving, and putting shoes on. I feel that I have hurt something inside my stomach. It feels tender in the lower side of stomach. could I have damaged something inside?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The pain on bending that you have is likely to be due to a soft tissue injury in the area due to the fall. Any internal injury can be ruled out after an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
