How To Confirm If Abortion Is Successful After Taking Mifegest?

Hi my wife used Mefigest for abortion as her periods got delayed by 9 to 10 days....After 24 hours the bleeding started with clots n fluids...it went on throughout the whole but the flow has reduced by the end of the day...is it normal or unsuccessful or should I take mesoprostal.....pls advice asap...

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Mifegest contain MIFEPRISTONE AN MISORPSTOL, used for medical termination of pregnancy under the advise of gynecologist after confirming the intrauterine pregnancy by USG scan.
Normally abortion process will complete in the next 3-4 days.
As bleeding has been started, abortion process is started and gradually bedding will decrease.
I would suggests to consult the gynecologist for follow up and USG after 14 days should be done to confirm the complete process of abortion.
Take rest for 48 hours, take healthy diet, maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
