Dear Ma'am,
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern.

If you have regular menstrual cycles consisting of 28 days, then just add
9 calendar months and 7 days, or 40 weeks to the first day of your last normal period to get an idea of your EDD.

Assuming that your first day of LMP being December 19, 2014 so as per the calculation mentioned above your EDD would be on Friday, 25 September 2015.
This calculation works best if your menstrual cycle is regular and your period begins predictably every 28 days.

Many women's menstrual cycles vary in length. So counting from the first day of your LMP may not give you a date you can rely on that is what happened in your case.
Now as per the ultrasound scan done your EDD is October 12, 2015 reflecting that your cycle was not regular and may be first day of your LMP is slightly different.
In view of the above explanation your first ultrasound scan will give you a more accurate due date for your baby.

Hope to have answered your query.
