How To Avoid Burning Sensation After Swimming?

I have a 9 year old daughter who experiences burning sensation after swimming in the ocean or swimming pool. This does not happen any other time, thus not likely a UTI. Any remedies to prevent this from happening? She is afraid to use the restroom and will hold her urine as long as she can tolerate to avoid the burning. Thanks for your help!
