Hi my name are Ruth am 31 yars old married with one girl. My last periods were on 24th feb 2011. On 21 Mar 2011 a tested positive pregnant and on 09 afpril 2011 went for a scaning and the radiologist told me that my baby does not have a heart beat so what sure if am carrying a baby or not can you please explain to me further coz right now am very much worried and i would like to know how old is the pregancy coz am confused.

HI,
I understand your concern.
The dates & the year you are reffering to seem to be repot of your last pregnancy.
Still .. I would answer for your general information. Usually heart activity is visible in 6 weeks fetus.( 1 month delay in periods 0.
In case the fetal heart is not traced at 6 weeks, usually a follow up scan is repeated after one week. which may revile heart beats.When it's not seen at this time too.. there is possibility of chemical pregnancy without a growing fetus in uterus.This needs to be aborted.
