How To Alleviate Pressure In The Forehead And Swollen Cheeks?

My wife has been having issues with her head. She has been getting nerve pains in her head that usually concentrate on one side of the head or the other. These are very painful and also painful to the touch. Also her cheek will swell up and the inside of her cheek will also swell up and press against her teeth. Today she has a lot of sensed pressure in her forehead area and around one of her eyes and now is getting extremely dizzy if she sits up too quickly or turns her head to quickly. Do you have any suggestions?

Hello,

As per your query, you have symptoms of pressure in the forehead and swollen cheeks which seems to be trigeminal neuralgia and facial nerve inflammation which gets aggravated by and touching some areas of face known as trigger points.

I would suggest you to visit oral physician once and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly. You should go for exercises of facial muscles and start physical therapy. Start with carbamazepine 100 mg twice daily along with Klonopin. Avoid exposure to triggering factors.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
