How Someone Could Develop Anorexia Nervosa Disorder?

Hi, I am writing a persuasive essay for my grade 11 English class on Anorexia nervosa. It is specifying on how some people believe that people choose to become anorexic and that is in all in their head. I am proving that this is wrong and you can not choose to be anorexic. Can you help me understand how someone could develop this disorder?
Thank you.

Believe it or not, anorexia isn’t really about food and weight—at least not at its core. Eating disorders are much more complicated than that. The food and weight-related issues are symptoms of something deeper: things like depression, loneliness, insecurity, pressure to be perfect, or feeling out of control. Things that no amount of dieting or weight loss can cure.Treating anorexia involves three steps:Getting back to a healthy weight, Starting to eat more food,Changing how you think about yourself and food.
