I was prescribed regestrone 5 mg , one tablet a day for 3 months. I started the course on 14th July and till July my cycle was normal. I got my period on 30th July. So I should have gotten my period around 26 of august . I had protected sex on 27 th august. Still no period. I stopped taking regestrone pills on 1st September. Still no period. What should I do? When can I start the 5 day course of regestrone? 2 tablets per day for 5 days ?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Sometimes periods may get delayed by 7-10 days which is normal.Do not worry about periods as yet .you can continue taking your pills in regular dose,do not double the dosage. If you are worried about pregnancy, take urine pregnancy test which is simple and reliable method to rule out pregnancy.Do not panic.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
