How Should Nordette Be Taken To Avoid Pregnancy?

Hello, my girlfriend and I made love last December 7 . Although I released outside, We bought Nordette as Emergency pills. We are quite uncertain on which day / pill should be start from ? The top left ? I know we have to take 4 and then another 4 after 12h but where do we start from ? Thanks

Hi,

If you had sex in fertile phase of period (10th to 20th day of cycle with regular 28-30 days cycle) then only take nordette pill as emergency contraceptive pill. Nordette contain ethinylestradiol and levonoprogesterol in all 21 pill. Take pill as early as possible. It can be taken up to 72 hours sex.

It is 85% effective in preventing pregnancy. There is some chance of pregnancy with nordette pill. I would suggest to take I pill (over counter drug) instead of nordette pill to prevent pregnancy with in 24 hours of sex. I pill has 95-98% success rate if taken with in 24 hours of sex. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
