HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Weight loss can be achieved by changes in diet and exercise.

In terms of exercise:
If your mitral valve prolapse is severe, you should consult your doctor before starting an exercise program but in most persons it is mild and does not interfere with activity.
If it is not severe, then you should try for at least 150 minutes of exercise a week, more if possible

In terms of diet: there are 2 main options, the low fat/low calorie diet and the low carbohydrate diet. Both can help with weight loss though the initial loss in the low carb diet is more.
Neither will have an impact on MVP or precordial catch syndrome.

You can chose which would best suit you.

I hope this helps
