How Safe Is To Take Lupron?

Hello, I went to a doctor regarding fibroids and was told my fibroids are growing and need to be removed. It was suggested that I go through the laposcopic/robotic procedure but because my fibroids are so big, my doctor would like me to tak Lupron first to shrink think. I have heard a lot of bad comments about Lupron and the irreversible side affects. How safe is Lupron

Hello,

Lupron is recommended for large fibroids to shrink them in size so they are easier removed with less invasive procedures such as laparoscopically.
every medication has its possible side effects, but I think the doctor has already weighed the pros and cons and has considered this the best course of action. On the other hand, even if the fibroids shrink, you will need to have them removed because after stopping the treatment, they grow back to the previous size.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
