How Safe Is Taking Cymbalta For Elevated BP Levels?

I just took a new job that has me stressed out. My BP with medication was 120/80 when I started in mid June and two days ago I didn t feel well and it was 140/90. Yesterday I went back to get results of my bloodwork (it was all good), but my BP had risen to 155/95. I have a prescription for Cymbalta that I quit taking about 3 weeks ago. The Nurse Practictioner that I saw told me that the stress of the job and the fact that I had quit taking the Cymbalta was the reason my BP was elevated. She told me to begin taking the Cymbalta again and to come back in a week for another checkup. I want to know if you agree with her assessment or am I at high risk for stroke or worse?
