How Safe Is Vicodin For Pain After Foot Fracture?

Hello, I m 47 yo female who is taking Vicodin for a foot fracture. Been on it a month and I m misusing it. I ve misused opiates before. How can I naturally help to deal with the withdrawals this time? I ve started seeing a counselor for this problem. Tired of battling it and giving in. Can you help? Thanks,

Dear user,

I really understand your concern.

Due to your medical history for opiates misused and long time time on Vicodin I suggest to taper off it.

The taper off rule for Vicodine is: reduce the dose to half for 7 days and further reducing to half over next 7 days, then you can stop the drug completely.

If your pain persist you can continue with tab NUROFEN PLUS which contains Ibuprofen 200mg and Codeine phosphate 12.8mg, or just Advil gels capsules 400mg twice daily.
