How Much Quantity Of Metronidazole And Ranitidine Is Recommended Regularly?
Should I go to emergency? A week ago Friday I had a EGD and Colonoscopy with the results of a small hiatus hernia, H-pylori, and duodinitis and diverticuli. I feel more out of sorts now than after 3 days of the procedures. My stool is very dark and I had to take a mild laxative. I am on Clarithromyycin and Metronidazole and switched from Omeprazole to Ranitidine since I tolerated it better. The Ranitidine was previously prescribed. Email to Merilee : YYYY@YYYY PS I forgot to take the morning dose of pills yesterday but took the evening ones. To take 1 of each pill twice a day.
For the effective eradication of H. pylori infection, metronidazole 400 mg is given twice daily, clarithromycin 500 mg twice daily and ranitidine 300 mg twice daily for at least 10 to 14 days.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
