How Long Should Intercourse Be Avoided Post Varicocele Embolization Procedure?

I just had a varicocele embolization procedure done on wednesday and I m wondering when I can masturbate and have sex? They accessed the right groin area to get to my left testicle, and the incision was small and they used some sort of saran wrap looking stuff to seal it after. 24 hours later I removed the sealant stuff and took a shower, everything seems okay and starting to walk better now.

Hi,

Varicocele embolization procedure needs advised postoperative care strictly for getting good results. One can do his routine activities without much of stress / strain in couple of days after the procedure. The activities should avoid any stress on the operated area , there should not be any blood vessel engorgement to a pod any adverse condition. Masturbation / sex should be avoided till 6-8 weeks post procedure.
