How Long Is CPAP Support Required For A Premature Baby?

Hi, Unexpectedly my brothers wife got premature delivery at 27th week and the baby is in NICU from last 5 weeks. The baby is now stable under cpap. Still how many days the cpap support is required? Or any other treatments is required for the baby to come out of cpap. Can any body suggest. Regards, Krish

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, for the premature baby it is all depends upon the general condition of baby, respiratory system, neurological responses are the matter of concern, if baby is doing well then soon it will be taken out of CPAP, else it may not be said anything without the examination, you need to have a word with neonatologist who is taking care of baby hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
