How Long Does Treatment Of The Heart Take?

I work in the post office and do a lot of heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing of heavy rolling equipment. I am having a cardiac catheterization. I have PAD with blockage in the abdominal aorta and complete occlusion of the superficial femoral artery. The doctor is also going to check my heart arteries with dye. I have plenty of sick leave to use. My question is how many days off work should I request so I don t cause any problems healing.

As you mentioned you have peripheral arterial disease in your case it is good to check coronary arteries (heart arteries). Coronary angiogram takes aprox 30 min and it can be done as day care procedure. You need 2-3 days after coronary angiogram.
