How Long Does The Swollen Eye Take To Become Normal In A Child?

My 3 year old girl woke up yesterday morning with a very swollen eye. We took her to a practicioner and they gave her an antibiotic. She has been on it for 24 hours now and the swelling isn t any better, if anything it is worse. How long do I need to wait before we need to take her in somewhere else?
