How Long Does The HIV Virus Stay Alive In A Blood Sample?

I had sex with transsexual ( using condom for intercourse) at Feb so I went for hiv test for the first time on 116th day since last exposure the local clinic received my blood and they send it to the other lab for tests, and the result was non reactive my doubt is while transferring the blood sample is there mistake can happened..? or hiv virus would die before reach another lab..? should I go for one more time to test..? please tell me I m feeling so anxious

Issue of HIV virus is a sensitive thing and the blood sample is properly sent to destination lab with no chances of getting destroyed. If the test was negative then there should be no doubt in that. Most of good labs follow proper protocol and chances of missing a diagnosis are rare. So if on 116th day you tested negative then remain assured and relaxed. The sensitivity at this stage is about 99%.

If the results of antibody test are negative at 6 months then no further testing is needed as per guidelines. You can go for repeat test to relieve your anxiety.
