Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son smoked spice for 5 days ending on 5/10/2011. He is in a special program with the mental health court and tested positive for spice on 5/12/2011. he has not used spice since 5/10/2011 and was told today that he tested positive for spice on 5/19/2011. How long does spice stay in your system? Can this be a false positive test? I do not believe he has used this drug since 5/10. Please help me. thanks
There cannot be a false positive. He must be using the drug again. The test is only positive for up to 7 days, so he must have used it within the last 7 days.
