How Long Does Ringing In The Ears Last After Taking Propofol?

I was given propofol for my colonoscopy and noticed an immediate ringing in my right ear after I woke up. It has progressed to a tinging metallic sound, with a slight change in my ability to hear in that ear. My regular MD found no fluid or was buildup. Is this permanent? If not how long night it last?

Hi,

Ringing sound in the ear could be due to many reasons and all that needs to be ruled out it can be due to viral infection.

It can be due to vestibular dysfunction and other pathologies condition demands the several investigations that include the imaging studies too.

The symptom may not be permanent, if all the test is negative then symptom can be due to hallucination and it can be an auditory hallucination.
