How Long Does Pernicious Anemia Take To Recover Post Treatment?
My 21 y/o daughter was diagnosed with pernicious anemia she is on the B12 regiman. 1 injection q daily X 7 days then I injections weekly x 4 weeks and then one injections monthly for the rest of her life. At what point during the course of the treatment should. She start to feel better.?

Pernicious anemia leads to deficiency of vitamin B 12 in body.
Deficiency of vitamin B 12 leads to macrocytic anemia.
Vitamin B 12 injections will correct the deficiency of vitamin B 12 and you will feel better after 5-7 doses of vitamin B 12 injections.
The injections thereafter will maintain sufficient levels of vitamin B 12 in body and prevent its deficiency.
In pernicious anemia, the ability of the gastric cells to absorb vitamin B 12 is lost.
