How Long Does Menstrual Cycle Take To Regulate After Removal Of Mirena?
I had the mirena for 2 years and got it out May 30th,2015. I was put on Ortho-tri right after. I got bleeding june 2-6 while on the pill and then again june 22-26 when the sugar pills began. I stopped taking the pill then. I m thinking these Were breakthrough bleeding. When will my cycle regulate? Now it s July 20th and no period. I m TTC my 3rd child.
As per my clinical experience, it is the period of one or two menstrual cycle for the regularisation of the menses cycle after removal of Mirena or taking last dose of oral contraceptive pills. One can wait for a maximum period of 4-6 months, beyond which if there is menstrual irregularity, one has to approach her OBGYN specialist for further guidelines.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
