Hello,

Recovery time post a varicose vein surgery depends upon the type of operation.

A full recovery, in most of the patients, takes almost 1 -2 weeks. If pain persists, you can take an NSAID such as Ibuprofen.

Do not take baths or swim in public pools until the surgical wound has completely healed.

Please avoid sitting or standing for a longer period of time.

Strenuous exercise is not recommended for at least two weeks.

If you experience excessive swelling or pain in the leg, contact your physician immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
