How Long Does It Take For The Stitches Post C Section To Completely Heal?

Hi I had a C-section two years ago I have had three infections in my in my incision line 2 days ago I woke up with a hole in my incision line again I went to the doctor and he says it is one of the stitches irritating me How long does it take for the stitches to go away and should I be worried thank you

consult the doctor who has operated. it requires daily dressing and if required incisions and reaposition and stitching.if some stitches are still there and irritating then it is to be removed.about stitches going away it depends on type of stitch takes two weeks or so to dissolve.it remain undissolved and stil bothering then can be removed.
