Hi,
Back on Jan. 16th and Jan. 17th, I had a really hard bowl movement; and it hurt to go. I also saw blood because of that. I went to my doctor and she was saying it could be a fissure due to constipation. She said to come back the following week if I still see blood. Basically, to make a long story short, I went back to my doctor because I was still seeing blood. The week of the 28th I went back. I hadn't had a bowl movement since the 28th of January at that point, so I was going back to her. She, then, told me it could be a hemorriod and referred me to a specialist.
I don't feel any pain when I go - it was only those two days that was it. Ever since that incident I've been seeing blood in the stool; so I am thinking that it's related. I don't feel any other pains either.
My diet hasn't been all that great. I was eating a lot of breads, cheese, candy, cookies - and processed foods; and no vegetables, and I never excercised. My doctor was saying that because of the way I was eating it could have caused the symptoms over time.
I just started, now, to try to change my eating patterns. Now, instead of bread and cheese, I eat spaghetti and I have some frozen corn. I don't feel constipated anymore, but still seeing the blood.
I see the specialist on Feb. 28th, but my anxiety is going nuts. This has never happened to me before.
I guess I am looking for some reassurance. How long does it take for hemorriods to heal without surgery? I read that fissures take about 4-6 weeks to heal, and they usually heal on their own.
Thank you for your time.
