How Long Does It Take For Butterfly Stitches To Fall Off?

Hello. I had a mole taken off about 16 days ago and got 7-10 stiches near my shoulder. The stitches were taken out on Wednesday (after 14 days) and the doctor put on butterfly stitches. I see there is a little blood under the butterfly stitches. He said the butterfly stitches would fall off by themselves. Normally how long will the butterfly stitches stay on for? I m not taking a shower becuase I don t want to get them wet. Also, is it normaly to still have some pain? Thank you!

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and form the history given here I could say that self dissolving stitching material take 8 to 10 days to dissolves, any suturing procedure is little painful, it is okay if you can take bath with the stitches, better to apply some Vaseline or water proofing gel prior to bath or wound could be sealed with thin film, take care and have a nice day.
