How Long Does Hematoma On Hip Take To Resolve?

I fell on my hip two years ago and found a knot on my hip. the dr. told me I had a hematoma and it would probably take 6 months or longer for it to dissolve. It has gone from a goose egg to the size of a dime, but I still have it and it bothers me at night. went to the dr. yesterday about my hip hurting and he had an xray done of my lower spine. Seems I am having siatic problems, but I noticed on my xray a dark spot, which looks like the area that my hematoma is. how do I get this to dissolve so it will not hurt?w

I really appreciate your concern, if this is hematoma then it may take some more time to resolve still anatomical plane is matter of concern where it is being situated, infection would be matter of concern else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
