How Long Does Discomfort Due To Bug Bite Last?

I think I was bitten by a bug last week on my left big toe. The first day it hurt a lot; was swollen and red. Today, a week later, almost all of the red is gone. Almost all of the swelling is gone. The only issue is that I can t completely bend the toe like my right toe and there is a little discomfort when I try to bend it too much. Other than that, I m fine. I m not alleric to bites, that I know of. Should I try to move the toe, or let it heal naturally? How long will it take to come back to normal? When can I begin my routine gentle walking program of walking 20+ minutes daily? Thank you. I don t like to take any medications and am blessed this way. Other suggestions? Must be natural, if any.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This should resolve on its own in a few days.

If it is inhibiting your activities you may want to try one or two doses of an anti inflammatory pain killer.
This would speed up the process.

Examples are ibuprofen, cataflam, naproxen.
This is not a necessary action but only if you want faster resolution.

I hope this helps
