I am currently taking Vyvanse 50mg as prescribed by psychiatrist. We are looking to discontinue. Even though abrupt cessation is not recommended as I know it will cause profound lethargy, Vyvanse has caused blurry vision which was noteable from 70mg to 50mg. I do currently use glasses/contacts for vision correction. My thought was with upcoming holiday, I will have 5 days off from work. My question is, how long will it take for Vyvanse 50mg to completely be eliminated from my system, as I have read 3 to 4 days? My plan, if this is the case, is to suffer the discontinuation symptoms through my 4 day weekend and have eye exam for new contacts on that immediate Monday. I know I will need my vision corrected and want this to happen as quickly as possible post elimination of Vyvanse from my system. Are there lingering effects from Vyvanse or its other contents that would create need for me to postpone eye exam? Thank you.
