How Long Does Prilosec Take To Show Effect?
I take Prilosec for acid reflux, but now I cough like crazy as soon as I take a sip of a drink or bite of food. its like spit is getting into my windpipe, only way to stop it for a bit is to eat 3-4 tums. been taking Prilosec for over 3 weeks and no change, usually work in 2 weeks

Acid reflux and symptom of a cough are two different conditions, medicine for acid reflux even nothing to do with a cough.
It could be the allergic condition causing the cough most of the time. It is the self-limiting condition, if the cough symptoms remain more than a couple of weeks then it has to be brought to the investigation.
