Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, could you please tell me how long a spoonful of oramorf will stay in my system. I took it accidentally thinking it was cough medicine. I was rather silly of me,as l should have read the label ,but l was so desperate that it was the first bottle l grabbed from the medicine cabinet. I am 60 and in reasonably good health.Your expert help would be appreciated.
As a physician I would like to tell you that Oramorph contains Drug Morphine. I would advise that you should not worry about side effects as you have ingested very small amount. Usually about 85-90% of the dose is excreted through urine within 72 hours. I would also suggest that you should keep your medications well sorted and should not mix them as overdose of many medications may lead to many complications.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question. Have a nice day.
Regards, Dr. Abhijeet
