How Long Does Norethisterone Stay In The Body?

I ve been on Norethisterone for 3 months to treat abnormal cells and get my period started which had stopped. It has made me gain weight and moody but I continued to take it as the benefits outweighed the side effects for me. Due to finish the course this week - just wondered how long it will take to leave my system and if my weight will go back to normal or will I need to go on a diet/exercise?
