How Long Can A Child Suffering From Cancer Survive With A Breathing Tube?
Hello Doctor, thanks so much for listening: My 3year cousin has cancer, and now is on a Breathing tube. Her heart is beating at a rapid speed..How long can a 3 year have a feeding tube and breathing tude? Is this the final stage of life? No more help can be done. She has had two dosage of radiation they were going good until she received 50% more? what this a bad decision?
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern and am sympathetic towards the 3 year old fighting cancer - 1. How long survival cannot be decided unless patient is seen directly and other blood reports are taken into account. 2. Its not appropriate to decide only part if this final stage of life without seeing patient. 3. The decision would be have been taken by cancer treating specialists at that particular point of time it would have been in the best interests of the patient. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
