How Long Can Risperidone Be Taken?

I am looking for more information about Risperidone..one person was traveling in Europe in Croatia,was dehydrated,not able to sleep or two nights,smoke a lot,not eating...and became very confused and agresive,they took her to the hospital and gave her this medicine..she slept and woke up fully awake and alert...my question is if this medication is recommended to take...and how long...I am nurse and I think she was dehydrated and may have hypoglycemia and electrolytes imbalance...but it may be triggers to cause this symptoms...

As you have mentioned that she didn't have food and sleep for 2 days . it can b the cause. but as the patient is completely disoriented she has to be given medicine to make her calm and sleep. the dosage will be reduced and she can have a normal life. But has to be made sure that ones shes off that medicine she remains calm and lead a normal life.
